![]() ![]() The study extends the expectation confirmation model (ECM) by incorporating other variables (i.e., construct) which capture the unique context of smartwatches continuous usage, namely healthology, perceived aesthetics, habit, and social influence. This study aims at investigating the factors that determine the continuous intention to use smart-watches, one of the most prevalent types of wearable devices. They can also help FDAs companies, developers and marketers with strategies and tipsfor further development and growth by ensuring users’ continuous usage of these platforms. The insights provided by this study suggest fruitful directionsfor future research. The research model of this study explains 65% of variance incontinuous intention and 47% in actual use. The findings also confirm the importance of con-tinuous intention on the actual use of FDAs. The results reveal that convenience, perceived compatibility, delivery experience, and onlinereviews significantly influence the cont inuous usage of FDAs. Hypotheses were tested using a partial least squarestructural equation modeling approach (PLS-SEM) on data collected from 331 actual FDAs users during theCOVID-19 pandemic. The proposed theoretical model is developed and validatedto extend traditional technology acceptance and adopti on theories by identifying several determinant factorsthat capture the unique context of FDAs continuous usage. This study proposed a novel model to investigate influential factors affecting the intention to continue usingincreasingly popular food delivery apps (FDAs). ![]()
